Cute Kittens

A kitten (Old English diminutive of cat) is a domesticated cat (Felis catus) that is not yet fully-grown.

Kitten is also an alternative name for the young of some rodents, such as rats, rabbits, hedgehogs, beavers, squirrels and skunks.

The young of big cats are called cubs rather than kittens. Either term may be used for the young of smaller wild felids such as ocelots, caracals, and lynx, but "kitten" is usually more common for these species.
